The TinCaps are making 2011 Midwest League Playoff tickets available for purchase at 10 a.m. Saturday in anticipation of for a playoff position.
“The team is currently ahead of both Great Lakes and West Michigan in the race for the playoffs,”
TinCaps President Mike Nutter said in a news release. “The team is up 3 games in the standings with only 13 total games remaining in the season. While the team hasn’t yet clinched a spot, we wanted to give fans a
chance to reserve their tickets as we anticipate post-season games.”
The first TinCaps home playoff game would be at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 with a post-game fireworks display. “We’ve started a tradition here at Parkview Field to start the playoffs with a bang,” Nutter said.
Additional playoff games, dates, and times will be announced and available for purchase as soon as
they are known, which in many instances will be short notice.
“That’s part of the fun of the playoffs,”
Nutter said. “You don’t know where, when, or even if you’ll be playing from day to day. You never
know what will happen, that’s what’s so great about post-season baseball!”
Tickets can be purchased by phone at (260) 482-
6400, at the Parkview Field Ticket Office, or by logging on to TinCaps.com.
In the event that the playoff game is not played refunds will be available for purchased tickets.
