Caleb TerBush will be the starting quarterback for Purdue in Saturday's season opener against Middle Tennessee State.
TerBush did not play last year as he dealt with academics. He spent the year as the scout team quarterback.
He has appeared in one game. He completed 4 of 10 passes for 22 yards in an Oct. 31, 2009 game at Wisconsin.
"We're going to start Caleb TerBush," Purdue coach Danny Hope told reporters on Sunday. "I wanted to make sure we had the chance to come in and look at the film from the scrimmage work (Saturday) with (offensive coordinator/quarterbacks) coach (Gary) Nord.
"We felt really good about Caleb going into the scrimmage. But we wanted to see what was on the videotape, make sure he was where we thought he was. We certainly intend on playing Sean Robinson as well."
The Boilermakers will release their depth chart on Tuesday.
