Bible college to offer degree in Fort Wayne

Statement issued Wednesday:

FORT WAYNE, IND, August 31, 2011— Ambassador Enterprises has announced its newest partner at The Summit, Crossroads Bible College. Based in Indianapolis, Crossroads will offer an Associate of Arts degree in Leadership and Ministry in an accelerated program, which will meet one night per week.

Classes are five weeks long and students take one class at a time, so someone with no college credit could finish in two years. Classes are scheduled to begin September 27th of this year with an orientation at The Summit on September 13th.

Bob Smith of the Fort Wayne School of Urban Ministry will be the site director, with responsibilities including developing relationships with pastors and other leaders in the Ft. Wayne area, in addition to recruiting students for the program. He will continue serving as site director for both the Fort Wayne Urban Ministry and Crossroads Bible College.

Tuition is $395 per credit hour, and classes are 3 credit hours each. Crossroads is a fully accredited college; therefore, qualified students are eligible for federal financial aid, as well as scholarships through the school, making this is an affordable option for many students.

“We chose The Summit because Ambassador Enterprises and the Fort Wayne church community invited us, and we believe a Bible college would be beneficial to churches and ministry leaders here,” said John Crabtree, Crossroads chief academic officer.

“Crossroads is a great addition to The Summit,” stated Larry Rottmeyer, Ambassador’s executive director for The Summit. “We are committed to bringing more educational opportunities to Fort Wayne, and this will allow us to help a great college do a lot in our community.”
