Raise your glass during two craft beer events that also will raise money for some good causes.
The first is the annual Toast to Life event Sept. 18 to benefit Hospice Home, which provides end-of-life care for patients in northeast Indiana.
The six-course dinner will begin at 4 p.m. at Club Soda, 235 E. Superior St.
The specialty brews will include New Holland Ichabod pumpkin ale served with crème brulée. Each will be discussed during the meal. There also will be a silent auction of beer- and wine-related items.
Tickets are $100. Purchase them before Sept. 14 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, 5910 Homestead Road.

Hope CSA and Hawkins Family Farm of North Manchester are teaming up again for the fourth annual Between Heaven and Earth fundraiser on Sept. 24.
The outdoor event, which will take place from 4 p.m. to sunset at 10373 N. 300 E. near North Manchester, is $75.
Profits will benefit Hope CSA, a non-profit ecumenical teaching ministry.

The courses of locally grown foods, prepared by Chef Jennifer Disler, will be paired with craft beers from Mad Anthony Brewing Co.
The menu hasnt been finalized but will focus on preserved foods. So it might include dishes such as tomato jam, bean ragout, grilled leeks, smoked meats, pickles, chicken sausage, maple candy and pear and apple chips.
Lucky Moose serves seafood specials
To celebrate its first shipment of sweet Royal Red shrimp in three months, The Lucky Moose will offer them as an all-you-can-eat feast for $12.95 on Thursday.
And from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, enjoy the Alabama surf and turf special with those Gulf shrimp, catfish, pulled pork, ribs, collard greens, sweet potatoes and salad bar. Its $12.95.
The restaurant, 622 E. Dupont Road, will offer $2 domestic beers and $2.50 draft pints both days.
