Fort Wayne collected a season-high 21 hits in a 12-0 victory against South Bend in front of 8,050 fans Friday at Parkview Field.

The series starts Saturday. The team that wins two games will qualify for the playoffs. West Michigan has a 10-9 edge in the season series.
Key at-bat: Chris Bisson hit a grounder that hopped over second baseman Gerson Montilla and into center field for a two-run single in the fourth inning. The TinCaps collected nine hits during the six-run inning.
Key out(s): South Bend had runners on second and third with one out in the third inning. The Silver Hawks trailed 2-0. Mark Hardy struck out David Naradowski and got Raywilly Gomez to fly out to right to end the threat. Hardy pitched seven innings to improve to 11-10.

Attendance figures: Friday was the 22nd sellout of the season. The TinCaps had a regular season attendance of 376,022 (an average of 5,612 per game). Fort Wayne averaged 5,408 fans in 2009 and 5,785 fans last season. This season featured the first three dates canceled because of rain in Parkview Field history.
The four-game Triple-A series between Tucson and Las Vegas had an attendance of 23,250 fans.
