Getting ready to go again

Notre Dame and South Florida returned to the field after a weather delay that lasted a little more than two hours Saturday.

The game is set to resume at about 7:23 p.m. The two teams had 12 ½ minutes to warm up.

The Irish made a major change during the break as Tommy Rees was announced as the quarterback for the second half. Starter Dayne Crist went 7 for 15 for 95 yards with one interception in the opening half.

The Bulls hold a 16-0 lead over the Irish and will receive the ball to start the second half.
