Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly said during his Sunday teleconference that the evaluation process to name a starting quarterback for Saturday’s game at Michigan was just beginning.
The No. 16 Irish switched from Dayne Crist to Tommy Rees during a more than two hour halftime in the season-opening 23-20 loss to South Florida.
“We just finished grading all the film,” Kelly said. “We will meet here about 4 o’clock, start to discuss some things relative to personnel. Then whatever decision we make, we will talk to the quarterbacks involved and then get rolling again on Monday with the decision as to how it goes. We are still in that process.”
A more detailed QB update will come later today and in Monday’s Journal Gazette.
