Irish fall out of polls

Notre Dame fell out of The Associated Press and USA Today coaches' poll Tuesday.

The Irish began the season ranked No. 16 by the AP and No. 18 in the coaches' poll.

But after a 23-20 season-opening loss to South Florida, which prompted a quarterback change, Notre Dame is no longer ranked.

Tommy Rees will start at quarterback for the Irish (0-1) when they play Michigan (1-0) at 8 p.m. Saturday in Michigan Stadium.
