Bike ride to aid Allen County SPCA

Want to get fit and aid homeless animals? We got this notices from the Allen County SPCA:

In conjunction with Responsible Dog Owner Day, the Allen County SPCA will hold a family bike ride. The ride, open to all ages, will take place on Saturday at Shoaff Park. Riders can download forms at www.acspca.org right on the home page.

Pledges and registration will be accepted from 9am-10am on Saturday, September 10. The ride will begin at 11am. Prizes awarded for largest group of riders, best decorated bike, youngest rider, most pledges collected and more.

“We are very lucky that the Northeast Indiana Kennel Club is sharing this opportunity with us, said Sofia Rodriguez Mirwaldt, Executive Director. “We hope that both events will continue to grow together in the future.”

Dogs available for adoption will be around the course for riders to meet and for encouragement. Johnny, the Tin Caps Mascot will also be on hand and after the ride, participants can enjoy the events in the pavilion for RDO day.
