Fort Wayne leads after six innings

Fort Wayne leads Bowling Green 3-1 after six innings of Game 1 of the best-of-three series Thursday at Parkview Field.

Mike Gallic hit a solo home run for Fort Wayne in the fourth inning to make it 3-1.

Bowling Green's Kevin Kiermaier threw out Rico Noel at the plate in the fifth inning. The center fielder, a Bishop Luers graduate, fielded the ball on one hop and fired home to cut down Noel.
