Keyvius Sampson is on the mound for Fort Wayne in Game 1 of the Eastern Division Championship series against Lansing.

The TinCaps are 10-6 against the Lugnuts this year. But Lansing won the last three meetings.

Sampson is 12-3 this year with a 2.90 ERA for Fort Wayne. Lansing will start Egan Smith. He is 7-7 with a 3.84 ERA.

In other news, outfielder Justin Miller has joined the team from Eugene. He replaces Mike Gallic, who suffered a wrist injury after getting hit by a pitch in Game 1 against Bowling Green. Miller will bat seventh as the TinCaps’ designated hitter.
