Starfires not getting Rich-er

South Adams running back Marcus Rich missed Friday's 30-6 loss to Leo because of an illness, and coach Jason Arnold doesn't expect him back anytime soon.

Rich, a senior, has mononucleusis. Arnold said after Friday's game that Rich might be out for an extended time.

Going into the game, Rich led the Class A No. 5 Starfires with 271 yards rushing and was tied with Dustin Wanner with six touchdowns.

Wanner, who missed most of the first half after getting banged up on a run, ran for 50 yards and now has over 300 yards rushing to lead South Adams.
