Last year I did a video on the sights and sound of the Johnny Appleseed Festival. This year I decided to do a video on the man the festival is named after, Johnny Appleseed aka John Chapman.

I caught up with Scott Mertz, who portrays John Chapman on the Festival Stage and then followed him around for a bit.

After his talk, children came up on stage and played with some pioneer toys he had to share. The sun was high in the sky so I used fill flash to lighten up Scott's face that had a dark shadow.
