IU running back receives Big Ten honor

Indiana running back D'Angelo Roberts was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week.

Roberts rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown in the Hoosiers' 38-21 victory against South Carolina State Saturday.

He joins kicker Mitch Ewald (Nov. 29, 2010) as the only Hoosiers to ever earn the award.

Roberts became the eighth IU true freshman and the first since BenJarvus Green-Ellis (vs. Purdue on Nov. 22, 2003) to finish with more than 100 rushing yards in a game.
