Fort Wayne, IN– “Pro-life members of the Fort Wayne community will join together for the kickoff event at Abundant Life Church on Sunday, September 25th at 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm as the Fort Wayne area begins its 2011 FALL “ 40 Days for Life" campaign, said Karla DiFilippo spokesperson for the Fort Wayne 40 Days for Life campaign.

40 Days for Life is an intensive pro-life campaign that focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting, 40 days of peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and 40 days of grassroots educational outreach.

The 40-day time frame is drawn from examples throughout Biblical history where God brought about world-changing transformation in 40-day periods.

Fort Wayne is one of 297 communities from coast to coast conducting simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaigns from September 28 through November 6.

“We want to start this effort by drawing the community together to share the vision of 40 Days for Life and to pray for God’s blessings on this effort. It is time to focus attention on the harm abortion has done to our city,” said DiFilippo. “This rally will kick-off 40 days of prayer and fasting, with special attention to prayer near the abortion facility at Statewood Baptist Church on Inwood Drive, as well as various types of community outreach. We look forward to seeing what kind of transformation God will bring about in our city,” said Karla DiFilippo.
