Written statement issued Wednesday night by the Indiana State Police:
Tipton – This afternoon, an ongoing criminal investigation by Indiana State Police Detective Tony Frawley resulted in the arrest of Stephen B. Adams, 24, Tipton, IN, on three class A felony counts of child molestation.
Detective Frawley started an investigation after receiving information from the Tipton County Division of the Indiana Department of Child Services that a nine-year-old Tipton County girl had possibly been molested. Detective Frawley’s investigation revealed that Adams had allegedly committed a sexual act on the nine-year-old girl. The alleged crime occurred at a Tipton County home on August 31, 2011.
On September 1, 2011, Adams was arrested by Frawley and incarcerated in the Tipton County Jail on two counts of child molestation.
Today, Frawley served Adams, at the Tipton County Jail, with a Hamilton Circuit Court arrest warrant alleging three class A felony counts of child molestation. He allegedly molested the same nine-year-old victim , at a home in Hamilton County.
