Shooter's Comments: When the three-banded armadillo started going after shoe laces, I knew I had a chance at a different perspective than the usual animal and kid shot. I put the camera on the ground, set the auto focus to the shoe and armadillo and then angled the camera up a little bit.
This angle included the overhead lights that I wish I could have avoided. Ezekiel Coates' fascination with the armadillo helped add interest to the photo. Later, the armadillo went after my camera lens. The kids loved it.
