Penn State defeats Indiana

Matt McGloin threw a 74-yard touchdown pass and Anthony Fera added three field goals as Penn State topped Indiana 16-10 Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

Dusty Kiel made his first start at quarterback for Indiana. He threw a 5-yard touchdown to tight end Ted Bolser to get the Hoosiers within six points with 3:51 remaining in the game.

The Hoosiers reached Penn State's 40 yard line with two seconds remaining. Kiel rolled to his left and threw a deep pass that fell incomplete, a few yards short of the end zone, to end the game.
