Verbatim: 1 badly injured in early morning crash

Written statement received Friday morning from the Fort Wayne Police Department:

At 3:00 a.m. this morning Officers were dispatched to St. Joe Rd. and Ashland on a party pinned crash.

Once on scene Officers found an unconscious male pinned in a tan Honda. The Fire Department arrived and were extract the man who was taken to a local Hospital in critical condition.

The F.A.C.T. team was paged in and took over the investigation.

Investigators have determined that the tan Honda was traveling North on St.Joe Road near Ashland Drive. Just North of Ashland the vehicle left road way striking a large boulder and telephone pole shearing the pole and causing a power outage in the are.

Speed may have been a factor in this crash. The man remains in critical condition.

This case remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, The Allen County Coroners Office and the Allen County Prosecutors office.
