Early voting in 2010.

Early voting begins today

Statement issued by the Allen County Election Board:

While many county offices will be closed on Columbus Day, Monday October 10, the Allen County Election Board will be open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for the first day of walk in early voting. Early voting in the office of the Election Board will continue through noon on November 7. Early voting hours are:

  • October 10 through November 4, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • October 29 and November 5, Saturday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • November 7, Monday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Noon)
The office has moved from the City County (Ed Rousseau) Building and is now located on the southwest corner of Calhoun Street and Superior Street at 1 West Superior Street, directly across Calhoun Street from the Citilink Downtown Station. The new location has limited free parking directly to the west of the building. Voters can also park at the City County parking garage on Calhoun Street and walk a block to the Election Board Office; however that parking is not free during the week. Voters should use the Superior Street entrance to the building.

Voters may also vote early by mail. The Election Board is accepting applications for absentee mailed ballots through midnight October 31, 2011. After the application is approved, an absentee ballot is sent to the voter with a postage paid return envelope. These ballots are due back in the Election Board office by noon, November 8, 2011.

Sample ballots and election information is available on line at www.acimap.us/aceb and at the Election Board website www.co.allen.in.us/election-board, or by calling the Election Board at 260-449-7329.
