Notre Dame put three players on the John R. Wooden Award's preseason list for women's basketball.
Guards Skylar Diggins and Natalie Novosel along with forward Devereaux Peters were among the 30 players on the preseason watch list.
Diggins averaged 15 points and had a team-high 186 assists last season. Novosel led the Irish in scoring with 15.1 point per game and knocked down 41.3 percent of her three-pointers. Peters averaged 11.9 points and a team-high 7.5 rebounds.
Notre Dame reached the NCAA tournament championship game last season, falling to Texas A&M 76-70.
Other teams with multiple players on the list are: Connecticut (Tiffany Hayes, Stefanie Dolson, Bria Hartley), Tennessee (Shekinna Stricklin, Glory Johnson), Baylor (Britney Griner, Odyssey Sims), Maryland (Lynetta Kizer, Alyssa Thomas), Ohio State (Samantha Prahalis, Alex Bentley), Miami (Shenise Johnson, Riquna Williams) and Stanford (Nneka Ogwumike, Chiney Ogwumike)
The women's Wooden Award will be presented at the Los Angeles Athletic Club on April 6.
