Training camp has opened at Memorial Coliseum on the Komets' 60th season. It's perhaps the largest training camp the Komets have had since the early 1990s, when coach Al Sims brought in almost 50 players.
Forward Artem Podshendyalov was the only no-show; he is sorting out some immigration issues and is expected here by next week.
The Komets still haven't filled their 30th and final spot, as they continue to monitor the transaction wires out of the American Hockey League and ECHL.
Check back throughout the day.
