Tears

Sometimes you run across a story and the only appropriate reaction is, "Ahhh, no."

Then there's this. For which something stronger than just "Ahhh, no" seems called for.

Here's what you need to know about Homer Drew: In 34 years covering sports, he's the nicest man I've ever met. And I don't mean that in a namby-pamby, milquetoast sort of way. I mean it in a thoroughly decent, unfailingly accommodating sort of way.

That both he and his wife are now battling cancer seems cruel beyond measure. But I also know that no one is better equipped for the road ahead.
