Statement issued Friday:
Kathryn Densborn, the executive director of the Hoosier Lottery, has advised Governor Mitch Daniels that today will be her last day with the organization. The governor has accepted her resignation.
An interim director will be appointed early next week to run day-to-day operations until a replacement can be named.
“The lottery’s operations under Kathryn’s leadership have been solid, and hundreds of millions of dollars have been generated for the state of Indiana. I thank Kathryn for her six years of service at the lottery and in other public service roles,” said Daniels.
The Department of Administration is continuing its review of the lottery’s compliance with state standards for space use and furniture and equipment purchases.
