Concordia gets help

Concordia middle hitter Skylar Wright missed almost the first half of the season with an injury, and Cadets coach Trish Miller still thinks the senior isn't quite back to form - yet. "Skylar Wright got on fire tonight, and different players are always coming through," Miller said after a 3-0 win over Woodlan on Thursday at the Bishop Dwenger Class 3A Volleyball Sectional. "Someone always comes through, and that's what makes this team special. "(Wright's) just now starting to get back. It has been a work in progress, and she is peaking at the right time and playing with confidence. It's tough when you miss almost half the season, and it's your senior year. We are just glad she's back." The 3A No. 7 Cadets (27-6) play Leo (23-7) in the sectional semifinals at 11 a.m. Saturday.
