Notre Dame's massive group of potential recruits for Saturday night's game against USC added another headliner Friday.

Columbus East quarterback Gunner Kiel, the nation's No. 2 overall player per recruiting analyst Tom Lemming, will make an unofficial visit to Notre Dame, according to multiple reports.

Kiel had previously orally committed to Indiana, but he has reopened his recruiting.

"I am re-evaluating my decision and plan on taking visits to some other schools," Kiel told Irish Illustrated.

Kiel has completed 63 percent of his passes for 1,759 yards with 19 touchdowns and two interceptions. He has also run for 428 yards and has 12 rushing touchdowns.

The 6-foot-4, 216-pounder is rated five-star recruit by Rivals.com and Scout.com. He is the top-ranked quarterback in the Class of 2012 by Rivals.com, and he is the No. 16 overall prospect in the rankings by Scout.com.

Kiel's decision to visit Notre Dame was reported by the Irish Sports Report, 247Sports and Irish Sports Daily.
