Indiana had only one senior on last year’s roster. Now the Hoosiers have nine upperclassmen.
“When you look at this league over the years, it’s an experienced league, it’s a deep league, a very talented league and every year it becomes an old league because there are a lot of juniors and seniors in the league," Indiana Coach Tom Crean said during Big Ten media day Thursday.
"We had not been able to do that. And we’re finally starting to get to that point.
“To have Verdell (Jones III), Tom (Pritchard), the juniors in Christian Watford and Jordan Hulls with Derek Elston, to have a deeper team, you’ve got o have a team that has experience, has toughness, has been in some battles, and then you’ll have a chance. We’re starting to get closer to that.”
