Daniels stumps for Hughes

Gov. Mitch Daniels is stepping up his efforts to support GOP mayoral candidate Paula Hughes.

He is featured in a new radio ad, and is headlining a fundraiser for Hughes on Wednesday.

The ad script goes like this:

"Hi, it's Mitch Daniels. Hoosiers deserve good government at all levels and that's why this Nov. 8 I hope you'll vote for Paula Hughes as the next mayor of Fort Wayne. Paula is fully committed to policies that encourage job growth, keep taxes low, promote the best quality of life in your town. That's how we've turned around Indiana and with Paula in the lead you can take Fort Wayne in a new direction, too."

The fundraiser will be Wednesday at noon at the Fort Wayne Country Club, and the cost is $1,000 a person.
