Susann Bonar was driving north at 8:20 p.m. in the 7000 block of Indiana 101 in her 2006 Kia Optima when she swerved to miss a small animal in the road, the report said. The Optima traveled 282 feet in the west ditch, crossing over a driveway at 7012 Indiana 101.

Bonar was taken by ambulance to DeKalb Health Hospital in Auburn for injuries to her back and left hand, the report said.
