Shooter's Comments: I visited with James Saddler and Ken Jacobson a bit before I took this photo to go with a story. I wanted them to know why I was taking a photo of them eating lunch. Otherwise, it would have been sort of awkward.
Our conversation turned towards camera equipment. People are always interested in the camera I shoot with because the low cost and availability of digital cameras have made photography a lot more accessible to more people.
I made a wide angle shot with them in the foreground for a generic shot that would work with the story. I used available light and waited for a relaxed moment. I am also not a fan of taking pictures of people while they have a fork in their mouths. Somehow that feels a bit impolite.
