For starters

Indiana will begin its 112th season today against Stony Brook. Here’s what to watch for.

Hello, Cody: Cody Zeller makes his debut for the Hoosiers. He was named to the 12-player Wayman Tisdale Award Preseason Watch List, honoring the nation’s top freshmen. Expect Indiana to work the ball inside to the 6-foot-11 forward early and often.

Hulls taking charge: Jordan Hulls emerged as a leader for IU last season. He finished the season averaging 11 points per game. Expect that to carry over this season.

Sheehey to the hoop: Will Sheehey worked on being more aggressive in the offseason. Expect the sophomore to play a larger role in the offense.

Season prediction: Indiana has won 6, 10 and 12 games in Tom Crean’s first season. This year, they finish over .500. A 17-win season is a possibility.
