New season, new opponent

A lot of first's today at Memorial Coliseum.

The IPFW men's basketball team will be tipping off its 2011-12 season at 1 p.m. against Nebraska-Omaha.

It's also the debut of IPFW coach Tony Jasick, who stepped in for a game two years ago, and then coached the Mastodons to an 83-54 victory over Trine in an exhibition game.

And it's also the first Division I game for Nebraska-Omaha, which moves up from Division II. Nebraska-Omaha will be a member of the Summit League next season.

IPFW will make a return trip to Omaha on Dec. 10.

Back at halftime.
