A smooth transition

Despite losing one of the toughest elections this fall, Councilwoman Karen Goldner, D-2nd, is at least outwardly saying all the right things about the transition to her opponent.

Goldner on Tuesday said she was talking with Councilman-elect Russ Jehl, R-2nd, about the position and offering any advice she could.

“We’re going to have a good transition,” she said.

On top of that, Goldner wrote a letter to the editor appearing in Tuesday’s The Journal Gazette, which thanked her supporters and offered congratulations to Jehl, “who I am confident will do a good job of representing the district.”
