Ice Chips

  • A goalie guess; look at lines
Roman Will would seem to be the most likely fit to wind up in the ECHL as a goalie, but he's spent the last two seasons in the Czech Republic after an impressive junior career in Moncton. If I had to guess, it would be him.
  • K's sign 2 forwards
The Komets finalized the signing of forward Thomas Frazee, who had 24 goals and 47 points in 60 games last season for Quad City of the CHL, and also announced that they have added forward Brett Beebe to the roster.
  • Looks almost official
Center Thomas Frazee posted on his twitter account he will play for the Komets this season.

2 million? Welcome to the club

Welcome to Ice Chips, where we're well beyond our two-millionth hit.

Zing.

Click here to read today's story out of Evansville. Maybe it's just my interpretation out of the quotes out of the Courier & Press, but it seems maybe the IceMen were looking a little past the Komets to the game tonight against Missouri?

Regardless, clearly, the Komets were amped for Thursday's 5-2 victory.

How about Brett Smith? Eight-game point-scoring streak, with 12 points in that span.

And Chris Auger has a three-game goal-scoring streak.

It really seems like the youth is starting to take off for Fort Wayne. Jean-Michel Rizk. Tom Mele. Et cetera.
