I love the raglan shaping, the cute little collar, and the not-too-demanding colorwork on this little cardigan.

It's a sheep hat! The back has a little tail.

I have not made a secret of my love of baby garments.

So, when 60 Quick Baby Knits: Blankets, Booties, Sweaters and More in Cascade 220 Superwash caught my eye at the library, I had to grab it.

I love knitting baby garments because:

1) They are small.

2) Someone you know is always about to have a baby (or grandbaby, or neice/nephew).

3) They impress people more than the socks (which can take more time and money, but GO FIGURE).

The 60 patterns have a nice mix of techniques, and range from easy to advanced levels of knitting know-how.

Another thing I really like about baby garments is they can be whimsical and cute, and this book delivers on those. But, there are also very practical and stylish things that would work well for a family photo or more formal event.

Overall, a very fun and useful book for anyone who likes making things for tiny people.
