The Depot, which is being restored by the New Haven Area Heritage Association, has a new foundation and is being restored. Situated on the Rivergreenway, the restored Wabash Depot will be part of the trailhead for the Six Mile Creek Trail that will connect to Fort Wayne's south side trail at Tillman Rd to make a 26 mile loop. Lane Middle School 7th grader Justin Weigold was honored to put a cherry pie in Principal Mark Bailey's face. "It was fun," says Weigold after slamming the pie in Bailey's face. The students at the school were challenged to bring in 500 items of food to donate to the Community Harvest Food Bank. They exceeded the goal and brought in 555 lbs. of food and nonperishable items.
