The second quarter featured a missed field goal by Iowa, a blocked punt (by Iowa), one interception (a Robert Marve pass that was tipped and then caught by Iowa’s Tanner Miller at the Hawkeyes’ 1, and two Iowa fumbles. Purdue’s Brandon Taylor recovered the second in the end zone for a touchdown as the Boilermakers tied the game at 14.
Iowa answered with a 70-yard touchdown drive. Marcus Coker scored on a 2-yard run to put Iowa back in the lead.
Purdue quarterback Caleb TerBush is 5 of 7 for 42 yards and one touchdown. Marve is 1 for 4. Ralph Bolden has 40 rushing yards on five carries.
James Vandenberg has thrown for 148 yards and two touchdowns for Iowa. Coker has 105 rushing yards and the one touchdown.
