And away we go again

Season No. 5 of the Mad Ants NBA Development League season begins Friday when the Ants face Sioux Falls on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum.

Last season there was some optimism, but that went down the tube on Christmas night when center Chris Hunter suffered an Achilles tear and was out for the season.

Because of that, forward Darnell Lazare went from his natural power forward position to inside, and the team didn't mesh. There was also the nine-game losing streak in the middle of the season that doomed them to finish out of the playoffs again.

This time, experience and talent abounds. The question mark is Hunter, who is still nursing the injury. He might not be back in the lineup until mid-December.
