Verbatim statement issued about 4 p.m. Thursday:
WARSAW, Indiana (December 1, 2011) – Kosciusko REMC reports that by 3 p.m. today service crews had restored power to all but about 300 members in widely scattered locations throughout its service area.
Current estimates are that power will be restored by this evening to most of these remaining members. Local KREMC crews were greatly assisted today by a total of eight additional two-man service crews from other Indiana REMC cooperatives, including Tipmont, Kankakee Valley, Marshall, Henry, and Carroll White.
Everyone is reminded to stay well away from any downed power lines or broken service poles, which can pose a variety of potential dangers.
