Verbatim: Lane restrictions on E. Main Street

City of Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department

Written statement released Friday morning: Please be advised lane restrictions will begin on Main St. between Barr St. and Lafayette Street with the following schedule:

Monday, December 5, 2011, Closure of the south curb lane
Tuesday, December 6, 2011, Closure of the north curb lane
Wednesday, December 7, 2011, Closure of two center lanes

The restrictions will be in place from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. each day.

The lane restrictions will allow the contractor, Strebig Construction Inc., to install curb ramps and a median crossover for a midblock crosswalk.

The contractor will be responsible for placement and maintenance of all warning signs and barricades.
