Real no more

It must finally be safe to declare an end to the 2011 campaign season.

The proof? The anti candidate websites created by the opposition are now defunct.

The local Republicans site, therealtomhenry.com, was dead by Monday. The Democrats’ site, therealpaula.com, died Thursday night.

Representatives from both parties said the sites were intentionally removed after the election. It will be interesting to see whether the tactic continues in the 2012 election, or if candidates will try to buy all the “real” domain names they can for protection.
