    The D-League will hold its annual national tryouts June 15 in New York. The one-day event will see 200 hopefuls in full-court games in front of team executives, coaches and scouts.
  • Howard, Smith work at Development League camp
    Mad Ants guard Ron Howard and center Tommy Smith accepted invitations to the NBA Development League Elite Mini Camp, which started Monday and runs through Tuesday in Chicago.
  • Record year for D-League
    It wasn't only the Mad Ants that made 2012-13 their best season; the rest of the NBA Development League had a record-setting year, as well.

Ants add two to roster

The Mad Ants added two players to their roster in anticipation for a roster reduction later in the week.

Jabril Banks, a 6-foot-8 forward, and 6-7 guard Ramon Harris, both of whom were waived from the Mad Ants' camp, were reacquired on Monday.

The two players will join the team for the Ants' game Wednesday in Canton, Ohio.

The NBA D-League allowed teams to temporarily extend their roster size to 12 in anticipation of losing players to the NBA training camps that begin Friday.

Four Mad Ants players - guards Walker Russell Jr., Cameron Jones, Ron Howard and forward Darnell Lazare - are expected to be invited to NBA camps.

The Ants (2-1) will be home to play Springfield on Friday.
