Excell plans new equipment, seeks abatement

Statement issued Thursday by the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance:

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Dec. 8, 2011) — Excell Color Graphics, Inc., announced today that it is planning on purchasing new equipment for its 2623 Camino Court location. The printing company will invest approximately $371,940 and bring on one additional employee as a result of the project. The equipment is expected to be installed in January 2012.

Excell Color Graphics specializes in advanced digital printing and will add a new Digital Nexpress SX2700 to its printing divisions. The company currently has thirty-one full-time employees and will add one employee by March 2012. Excell Color Graphics will be introduced to the Fort Wayne Common Council at tonight’s meeting to be considered for a $23,664 tax abatement, which will be phased over ten years.

"Adding the new digital press will enable us to expand and refine our current capabilities," stated Tom Parrot, president of Excell Color Graphics Inc. "With this investment, we can better serve our current clients, as well as position ourselves to reach out to new cliental."
