Irish lead at half

Notre Dame's size was too much for Dartmouth by the end of the first half.

The Irish took a 37-24 lead into the break thanks to dominating down low.

Notre Dame scored 24 of its points in the paint and holds a 19-14 rebounding edge. The Irish have seven offensive rebounds.

Notre Dame forward Jack Cooley and guard Joey Brooks led the offense with nine points. Forward Tom Knight scored eight.

The Irish used their seventh lineup combination of the season to start Saturday night's game with Cooley and Knight starting together for the first time. They were surrounded by guards Eric Atkins, Alex Dragevich and Pat Connaughton, who took the place of the team's second-leading Jerian Grant.

Jvonte Brooks scored seven for the Big Green.

Notre Dame isn't bullying its way past Dartmouth like it should, but a steady diet of points in the paint to open the second half will quickly put this game completely out of the Big Green's reach. If it isn't already.
