Leo fans' flaws

Leo fans were chanting the entire game, just like a good student section does. But there were a couple flaws to their logic.

First, they said that New Haven star forward and Notre Dame recruit V.J. Beachem was "overrated."

Hardly.

He torched the Lions for 33 points in the Bulldogs' 99-63 win Saturday.

Second, the fans were saying New Haven was a "one-man team."

Again, not true.

Jabar Ray and Kyle Sovine added 16 points each, while Monte Stevenson had 10. Ray added 13 rebounds, while Curtis Elwood had nine.

The Bulldogs are 4-0 this year and with Beachem and coach Al Gooden coming over from Harding, they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Leo won the girls game of the doubleheader, 62-27.

See this blog for a video interview with Leo's Taylor Seiss after the game.
