Bennefield back ... early

Left wing Jesse Bennefield is back on the ice for the Komets, about a week earlier than expected. He had missed the last 14 games -- last playing Nov. 5 -- because of an infection in his leg.

Jean-Michel Rizk won't play tonight. I don't know yet what's wrong with him.

Bennefield has one goal and three points in four games.

The Komets are facing the Dayton Gems at Memorial Coliseum in the third game in as many days.
