Expedia, United agree to contract

Travel website operator Expedia Inc. has signed a multiyear agreement with United Airlines.

Expedia said the deal, announced last week, means it will work with United to “maximize exposure for United’s products and grow revenue.” Visitors to the Expedia.com and Hotwire websites will be able to access all United and Continental fares and schedules.

United will offer access on its website to almost 145,000 hotels through Expedia’s network.

The deal comes at a time when airlines have been pushing travel websites to include add-ons such as more-desirable coach seats and baggage fees.

Toyota to begin shipping U.S.-built Camry to Korea

Toyota plans to export U.S.-built Camry sedans to its distributor in South Korea.

The Japanese automaker said last week it expects to initially export about 6,000 vehicles, which will be assembled in Georgetown, Ky.

This is the first time the U.S.-assembled Camry will be exported outside of North America. The vehicles are scheduled to arrive in South Korea beginning in January, Toyota said.

Toyota began exporting U.S.-assembled vehicles in 1988.
