Youth sports photographer charged with child porn

CORYDON – A freelance photographer of southern Indiana youth sporting events has been charged with nine felony counts of possessing child pornography.

Stephen Brockman of Greenville was charged Tuesday in Harrison Superior Court after a county police officer reported seeing pictures of nude children ages 5 to 10 on an open laptop computer while Brockman slept in a Corydon restaurant Nov. 14. Court records said a search that turned up numerous photos of nude and partially nude children engaged in sexual conduct

Harrison County Prosecutor J. Otto Schalk told The Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky., that most photos appeared to have been downloaded online.

A woman identifying herself as Brockman’s sister said the family had no comment and hung up the phone when asked whether Brockman had an attorney.
