Ants break away to win 101-84

It's a cliche, but the Mad Ants refused to lose Sunday.

Once Springfield cut the Ants' lead to three points with eight minutes left, the Ants finished on a 21-7 tear to pull away from the Armor for a 101-84 victory.

Rookie guard Cam Jones led the Ants with 26 points and showed a tendency to drive toward the basket. After struggling in the first three quarters of last Friday's loss to Iowa, Jones finished with 15 points in the fourth quarter in that game. In his last five quarters, he has scored 41 points.

Corey Allmond and Marvin Phillips had 18 each for the Ants (4-4), while Tory Jackson had 13, and Ramon Harris came off the bench for 13 points.

Springfield fell to 5-4.
