If you want to give the gift of food this season, you still have plenty of options.
Here are more restaurants offering holiday menus and hours.
Red Lobster, 4825 Coldwater Road, will be open until 8 p.m. Saturday and closed Christmas Day. It will be open until 11 p.m. Dec. 31 and until 10 p.m. New Years Day. The $6.99 lunch specials will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Honey on the Table, 2461 Hobson Road, is taking orders for holiday cookies and breads until 6 p.m. Thursday. The breads, including olive, raisin-pecan and cranberry-walnut, range from $3 to $8 per loaf. The trays of 40 assorted Christmas cookies are $32. Orders can be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday. To order, call 373-0555.
Waynedale Café, 5700 Bluffton Road, will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sunday (Dec. 24, 25), Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. Besides the regular menu, it will offer dinners that range from $7.99 to $9.99. They include roast turkey with dressing and mashed potatoes, Ossian ham with mashed potatoes, and corned beef with cabbage and vegetables.
The Lucky Moose, 622 E. Dupont Road, will offer new $13.99 combo dishes Friday; theyll be added to the menu in January. They include steak and shrimp, steak and salmon, and tilapia and shrimp. The restaurant will be open until 6 p.m. on Saturday and closed Sunday.
From 5 to 10 p.m. Dec. 31, it will have the annual New Years Eve for Wimps party with a champagne toast at 10 p.m. The $19.95 buffet will include prime rib, salmon, shrimp, catfish, tilapia, triggerfish, ribs, chicken and the salad bar. Reservations are recommended; call 490-5765.
Halls Guesthouse, 1313 W. Washington Center Road, will have a prime rib buffet with a cash bar from 7 to 9 p.m. New Years Eve. It will also feature roast chicken with mushroom salad; haddock with crab, scallops and shrimp; spicy rice with bacon and black-eyed peas; vegetables; salad and desserts. Its $89 a person, which includes admission to the party with music, dancing and a champagne toast at midnight. Or pay $20 at the door after 9 p.m. Overnight packages are available. Markos on 2nd in Decatur will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. It will be closed Christmas Day and New Years Day. For reservations, call 260-724-8880.
Brevins Downtown, 200 S. Main St. in Churubusco, will open at 6 a.m. Christmas Eve. After 3 p.m., you can order any 14-inch pizza for $10. It will be closed on Christmas Day. Other holiday hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 31, and 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. New Years Day. For reservations, call 260-693-9340.
Joseph Decuis in Roanoke will open at 5 p.m. on New Years Eve. The five-course meal is $100, which doesnt include tax or gratuity. For reservations, call 672-1715.
New writer for The Dish
After a long and wonderful feast, its time to leave the table. This will be my last column.
Id like to thank everyone for your tips during the past six years. I hope you enjoyed reading The Dish as much as I enjoyed preparing it.

More restaurants on horizon
A YoYo: Yogurt on Your Own has opened at 9930 Illinois Road, near Scott Road. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 to 8 p.m. Sundays.
In late January or early February, Scott Herndon plans to open a Higher Grounds Coffee at 127 W. Berry St., in the Star Financial building. He also plans to carry ready-to-go items from the Bagel Station and pastries from Madeleines Bakehouse. Herndon, who managed the former Higher Grounds downtown, has a licensing agreement with the locally owned coffee company.
A sign announcing Exotic Thai has gone up in the Marketplace of Canterbury, in the former China Garden spot.
Tidbits
DeBrand Fine Chocolates, 10105 Auburn Park Drive, will offer tours from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, next week only. No reservations or minimum group numbers are needed for the tours, which are $5 per person and include a $5 rebate on a purchase of $10 or more.
Dutys Uptown Bar, 415 E. Dupont Road, has changed its name to Skullys Boneyard.
